CACHE-DASH #4
January 2013. It's been a little over a year since our last cache dash. Our challenge is lack of time to travel the necessary distances to reach new states. Leave it to Mark to come up with a fresh idea for getting in a new Cache-Dash ... our first power trail. We covered a total of 197 miles on this outing. While we normally don't care for micro sized geo's, per se, in this venue they were great. We headed to the eastern plains in Colorado to reach the trail. It was lovely to get out and see new sights, with the many quick and easy caches along the way offering us plenty of opportunities to leave the car and stretch our legs. A number of times before re-entering the car we madly did 10-20 high-speed jumping jacks. Possibly we burned as many calories from the laughing as the jacks! We saw many hawks, kestrels, and even a group of wild pheasants. What a fun day off together! Hooray for Power Trails~!
Continuing the Power Trail event, we followed a new trail a few days later. As before, the frequent stops for caches placed in close proximity are great!! A nice bit of activity, healthy breakfast brought with us to eat as we went, and spending time together. What a great way to start the weekend.
