Free Day at the Botanic Garden
The Denver Botanic Gardens rank in the top FIFTH in the nation. In our almost FIFTH year here in Colorado we had not yet visited this treasure ... until now. The 2012 fall sale is in full swing at the gardens and admission is free for two days. Perfect time to satisfy our curiosity. What a lovely layout they offer at this botanic garden. The plant collections are varied, with many themes on hand for the specifically interested, such as wildflowers (a favorite of ours), herb gardens, ornamental grasses, Asian, hothouse, etc.
We toured only 50% of the grounds and buildings today since work commitments dictated our time. Wonderful excuse to return for more!!! Speaking of more ... go here for more information on the gardens:

Our first visit to this wonderful Denver destination happened to take place just at the onset of the 2012 fall season. We look forward to adding images from spring and summer 2013 as well.
