For the love of wandering
Arches National Park
A whole 21/2 days off for Mark this week and poor weather throughout the areas we were interested in exploring. Darn! We had to find a better climate with something interesting to offer. When I suggested Arches National Park little did I know what an excellent treat we were to experience. This arid area was a perfect get-a-way from the rain and snow predicted in the places we had intended to visit. Called 'arches' because of the presence of over 2,000 sandstone arch formations in the park, we were bowled over with the beauty we found. Our two days there was not nearly enough to hike all the trails but we did have time to drive the entire park and do a special three hour hike led by a park ranger. There were also wildflowers already in bloom. A recipe for success! We had an awesome time AND got to stay in the city of Moab Utah. We have been interested in riding our motorcycles there and now know that the trip there from our home in Colorado is a very do-able proposition! Go here for more information on Arches National Park:
