Insects and other flits
This gallery is dedicated to a lovely and very bright great-niece, Danika Schnell, of Portland Oregon. Danika was a mere 4 years old when she astonished her Aunt D during a family gathering with her curiosity and attention span in viewing many of these subjects on her Aunt's laptop. Danika's sweet face little face barely reached the screen when she arrived by my side to ask what I was looking at. She solved the problem in short order by climbing up on my lap to better see. Her own chair soon followed. Oh the questions and comments! Will it bite me? That one has tickle looking wings. Do they leave that yellow stuff on you if they touch you? (brilliant child) They are always on flowers! Why are they always on flowers? And so on!
Danika brought her Aunt D a fresh appreciation and enjoyment of insect photography to that table! We hope this passes to you, guests.
