Reptiles and Amphibians
Mark says we may as well do this gallery. It's a natural progression since we already have collections of flowers, birds, and bugs. I think so too.
Our focus with this gallery is to show the creatures that we have stumbled upon in the wild. No zoo or shop shots for us. Or you. We may not see many creatures in this category, but we appreciate them none the less.
Herping is the act of searching for reptiles and amphibians. The term herping comes from "herptile", composed of Greek herpeton and Latin reptile, both meaning "to creep".
Along with our other enjoyments we count herping among them - enjoy.

Six-lined Racerunner (Aspidoscelis sexlineata) was (Cnemidophorus sexlineatus)
A common lizard in Colorado that we sighted in the Adams County Regional Park, June 30, 2014. There were good numbers of this species out today. Beautiful, aren't they?
Females produce 1-2 clutches of eggs from June to early August. Hatchlings emerge in August and September.
