After diving this site as an excellent night dive on Halloween, Rhoda and I returned with Mark in tow for a day dive of it. More than we bargained for! The light of day revealed the true nature of .... THE TUBE. It's a sewer pipe - EWWWWW!! It must be confessed that we cold water divers are obviously willing to put up with a fair degree of discomfort, not to mention risk, in pursuit of experiencing this other world. But THIS??? Well heck, only our faces are actually getting wet, and we have an independent air supply. It's not like we're drinking the stuff - hehe! I was so disappointed with today's photographs with one standout exception. But here are the shots that offer the flavor of what the '53rd Street Tube' (my name, it is not officially called that) is like down under. Ummm, enjoy. Dive time one hour and two minutes and a depth of 43 feet. **By the way, I don't believe this site yet has an official name.**
