Astoria Riverwalk Trail
Just a few steps into this walk/hike we were asking ourselves WHOSE ideas was this (mine)! What better thing to do on a dry and sunny day on the Oregon coast than to get outside and stretch the legs. We tried to do a shorter version in nearby Warrenton about a month earlier, only to be disappointed with almost no water and very little distance.
After 6.75 miles of marvelous birds, views, sea lions calling in their deep hoarse voices, the mighty Columbia River, and plenty of exercise we declared ourselves satisfied. The only let down was that the Astoria Trolly line was temporarily closed for repairs. BUT then our greedy little legs would not have seen as much action.
