Lewis River Falls - Trail #31 - August 10, 2019
Mileage 4.04 - elevation gain 378' - duration 3 hours.
This was a compromise hike as an alternative to Paradise Park, forcasted to 80% probability of rain. The forest was lush and beautiful, the falls pretty, and the serene sound of moving water made for good company throughout this hike. We started out at the farthest trailhead, upper falls, which made for less people than we otherwise might have encountered. Little did we know we would see a rare plant at the very end of the hike for our trouble. With over a decade and many many trails of hiking along the way, this was a sweet ending for a hike that we had viewed as 'good enough'. Wow, what a treat!!
