Pyramid Lake and more....October 2007
Happy Birthday Mark! A drive to the North Cascades to stay at the Colonial Creek Campground and hike the Pyramid Lake Trail turns into an excellent three day weekend as we revel in the Fall, the Great Outdoors, and some of our favorite activities. The Pryamid Lake trail is a 4.5 mile hike with an elevation gain of 1400 feet. We took our time (photography will have it's way with us) and greatly enjoyed the fall colors. The lake was charming. A pre-hike we enjoyed was the Thunder Creek Trail for approximately 5 miles. Lots of color and a variety of life here too. Found a lovely hotel to stay in Sunday night in Winthrop, with the next day exploring Entiat/Wenatchee and a surprise COOL critter sighting to top off the weekend. What a fun and relaxing time. **Note...this gallery has panoramas - best viewed in fullscreen!**
